CGNEE is a leading renewable energy company which has invested significantly in renewable assets across Europe with over 2.4GW in construction or operation.


CGNEE Ireland is currently looking for an experienced, motivated and solution-focused Windfarm Asset Manager to manage the on-going operations of our 230MW portfolio of wind farms in Ireland.


Reporting to the Irish Team Leader, you will be assigned responsibility over specific wind farms that are operated under CGNEE’s Operational Standard, statutory and local requirements, plus other high- level performance indicators.


Job requirements

  • Conduct quarterly inspections of the sites as required 
  • Perform general windfarm asset management duties as required 
  • Carry out safety inductions, manage contractors, provide toolbox talks and manage on site risks 
  • Conduct HSE plan review and compliance check on a regular basis 
  • Implement CGNEE site standards and ensure they are maintained 
  • Ensure adequate store of spare parts for site infrastructure is available at all times 
  • Manage competitive pricing processes for works required 
  • Exercise technical and commercial management of subcontractors 
  • Track wind farms production, alarms and failures 
  • Implement solutions to technical problems on each of the wind farms 
  • Complete monthly reports including production, availability and outage reporting as required 
  • Liaise and manage relationship with local stakeholders, landowners, residents and authorities 
  • Manage and follow-up of claims in connection with the insurer 
  • Optimise production and asset enhancement 
  • Ensure periodic meetings with contractors
  • Submit and manage availability warranty claims with the turbine providers. Represent the company and the wind farms with residents, administration and third parties
  • Manage contracts, leases, and various agreements for assigned windfarms 
  • Issue letters as required relating to any contractual breaches or issues that may arise 
  • Report any legal/commercial implications to senior management and support the resolution of these issues as appropriate 
  • Travel to CGNEE wind farm sites In Ireland as required. Occasional trip within Europe are also possible. 
  • Procure, brief and manage legal representation when required 
  • Take a leadership role when required on issues and ensure they are driven to completion 
  • Undertake such other duties/responsibilities as may be assigned to you from time to time.

Profile

  • Qualification in Engineering or equivalent technical qualification. 
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in windfarm operations/management 
  • Excellent team player, goal-orientated, dynamic with the skill to motivate others successfully 
  • Strong stakeholder relationship building skills 
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines 
  • Quick learner: when faced with new situations/problems, takes guidance well and develops a full understanding of the matter 
  • Technical knowledge of Enercon turbines and the key issues in their operation and maintenance 
  • Natural problem solver who tenaciously seeks to find a solution to operational issues 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to report both good and bad news on issues, current project status, upcoming deadlines etc. in a precise manner.  Proven commercial/contractual experience 
  • Computer literate with a good knowledge of MS Office. SCADA knowledge an advantage 
  • Possess a full, clean driver’s licence (category B) 
  • Speak and write fluent English, preferrably Dublin-based / willing to relocate to Dublin
