On September 3, CGNEE received the gold award from the prestigious Royal Society for the Prevention of Accident (RoSAP), over 1,000 people attended the virtual awards ceremony worldwide.

On the basis of winning the silver award last year, the following improvement was demonstrated this year. For instance, excellent occupational health and safety management systems and culture, high levels of compliance with control measures for principal risks, low/reducing rates of error, no fatal or major injuries due to employer negligence and no significant enforcement issues. After several rounds of strict review and defence, CGNEE won the gold award for RoSPA Health and Safety Award 2020.

Established in 1956, the RoSPA Health & Safety Award offers organisations a prime opportunity to benchmark safety performance year on year and ensure consistent performance between sites. It also provides an effective route to demonstrate an ongoing commitment to raise health and safety standards. It is one of the most prestigious and recognised schemes in the world, with almost 2000 entries every year and a reach of over 7 million employees.
