CGNEE has become the first Chinese company to obtain the London Mayor’s Good Work Standard Award. The Good Work Standard sets the benchmark the Mayor wants every London employer to work towards and achieve. It brings together best employment practice and links to resources and support across London. The initiative has been developed in collaboration with London's employers, professional bodies and experts.

CGNEE UK underwent a vigorous series of assessment on the FOUR pillars of being the BEST EMPLOYER of CHOICE. They are as follows:

1. Employment Terms and Conditions: e.g. do we pay at least the London Living Wage, do we follow the Working Time Regulations, is there a health and wellness plan, is there a pension and health insurance.

2. Diversity and Inclusion: e.g. is there effort to close the gender pay gap, are HR policies in respect of hiring, promotion, training opportunities non-discriminatory against age, disability, gender, gender reassignment, race, religion, sexual orientation, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, etc.

3. Skills and Development: e.g. is there a training and development budget, is there a training and development plan and how well it is executed to benefit employee development, etc.

4. Health and Well Being: e.g. does the company provide private medical insurance, is there a policy on flexi-working, does the company provide service on mental wellness, counselling, family issues, etc.

Wining the GOOD WORK STANDARD Award puts CGNEE in the hall of fame with other accredited multinationals such as Deloitte and Ernst & Young. Not only have we rubbed shoulders with international companies, but we can now compete with these companies for talent.
